Kiteboarding moves ahead in popularity in sailing races. There is a recent kite boarding race planned in Mexico, where the fleet will line up this Friday for a coastal race of 58 nm. This race would cover a race course from San Diego to Ensenada in Mexico. This is an international contest that would have PHRF racers who would be sailing with foiling kite boards.

One of the participants would be Nico Landauer, who is 34 years of age and has been participating in local events in keelboarding for some time. He has now traded his bag to become a kiteboarder at professional levels. He states that he came to California to pursue pro surfing from Uruguay. He has knowledge of sailing and surfing. More Link

East Lothian Yacht Club is hosting the UK National Championships in which over 200 boats have made an entry into the championships. The boats will run from 7th to 12th of August with competitors who would travel from across the UK to North Berwick. The commodore of the club Robbie Lawson said that the club is privileged for hosting such a great event.

He also said that it is the premier event of the UK with more than 200 junior competitors taking part. The families of the competitors would also be there in North Berwick to cheer them. The topper class will be the ground for training for several future Olympians. The event is being organized with a lot of effort put in by the volunteers of the local club in addition to committed families in and around the country. More Link

Today, in the midst of a sunny and beautiful day in Monnickendam, Netherlands, the Hakvoort shipyard introduced their biggest superyacht to date, the sixty-one meter Just J’s. Diana Yacht Design has been responsible for this naval architecture that slipped into water.

Earlier known as project Golden Age, Just J’s offers a significant point in Hakvoort’s timeline, as she is a straight result of the yard’s top expansion operations that was undertaken in the year 2012 whereby their primary shed was broadened to 65 meters. Just J’s has an interior architecture by Sinot Yacht Design.
